At the Mercy Foundation, we are committed to building a fairer, more compassionate world. Guided by the values of mercy, human dignity, and social justice, we work to end inequality and injustice in all its forms, especially where it affects those who are most vulnerable and marginalised.
who we are
Established by the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney, the Mercy Foundation is an independent social justice organisation that partners and advocates with communities and change-makers across Australia. We focus on creating long-term solutions that promote housing security, gender equality, and social inclusion.
what we do
We fund and advocate for initiatives that:
- End homelessness, particularly for women and older people
- Support justice and safety for refugees, asylum seekers, and people affected by violence
- Empower communities to tackle systemic inequality and promote inclusion
- Champion advocacy and research that lead to policy and social change
Through collaboration, innovation, and compassion, we work towards a society where everyone can live with dignity and hope.
